PARIS, August 18, 2020 — IPwe announced that Sean Gu has joined the IPwe Team as Head of Marketing & Customer Experience. In his new role as a senior executive of IPwe, Sean will be responsible for leading IPwe’s global marketing and brand strategy, growing IPwe’s digital footprint and building an industry leading user experience.

Sean will be in charge of branding and delivering our solutions, while prioritizing positive user experience,” stated Erich Spangenberg, CEO of IPwe. “Too many IP products only take into account the needs of a small group of people operating in the IP ecosystem — Sean’s responsibility will be to deliver IPwe solutions so they can be easily understood and used by all key players in the IP ecosystem.”
Sean comes to IPwe with 10 years of experience leading growth marketing and digital transformation in US and Asia. During this time, Sean successfully guided market entry and growth strategies on behalf of global brands entering Asia. Previously working with his university’s tech-transfer office as a commercialization researcher and coming from both science and front-end development backgrounds, Sean holds a wealth of knowledge in UI/UX and leveraging data & analytics to build effective customer journeys.

Sean Gu attended University at Buffalo’s School of Management, graduating with an MBA in Marketing & International Business. IPwe has dominated the European Union (EU) and US markets through its France and US branches, and is actively pursuing Korea, China and Japan. Sean will be based in Hong Kong, expanding IPwe’s Asia footprint while working closely with sales and product teams based around the world.
